Oh boy another day of fighting with those wonder proprietary pieces of software, that provide no support (unless you shell out the cash), and no ability to make even the slightest modification. Joy. Recently I’ve been tasked with determining if NetTracker is really a good solution for website Analytics. Initial impression: it’s not. But is there anything better that does not completely rely on JavaScript (my reference here to Google analytics). Having a piece of software that utilizes the information collected in the IIS logs, or any web server logs for that matter, is important. More research, More Analysis….

And nTreePoint. Wow. Wow. Support, Ha! Want any access to modify any of the html? Ha! Written in classic asp, all the html is compiled into dll’s. Troublesome.

In conclusion i really dislike 3rd party apps that don’t allow any modification to the code.
