Economic Growth does not describe what has happened to Helena, MT since i left here six years ago. Lowe’s, Home Depot, Sportsman’s warehouse, Ross, Bed Bath & Beyond, Walgreen’s, Costco, iHop, Macaroni Grill, A plethora of other restaurants, and a new movie theater (that managed to put the two other theaters out of business). Local businesses are expanding, moving to get bigger space, more land It’s Unreal. Is the village of Helena really able to support all of this. i know we are a society of consumerists, but damn. They are trying desperately to sell the current mall, and i’m sure when that happens they will build a brand new one. Driving around town there is construction everywhere, new businesses, new condo’s, new, new, new. It makes me afraid, the Montana economy isn’t bad (at the moment) but nothing good lasts…

Sitting in the local bagel/coffee shop i can hear others talking about all the changes, they are building a new exit off the interstate to accommodate….
